Our roots: a mother, a sewing machine and respect for purity

In 2001, my mother set out with a single sewing machine and a set of simple beliefs: the christening gown must be beautiful, clean and gentle on the newborn's skin . From her, I inherited respect for materials, rigor in execution and the belief that true beauty does not need artifice. Each piece in our first collections was a discreet conversation between material and meaning: breathable cotton, non-irritating lace, soft satin, impeccable finishes.

Beyond technique, the workshop was a school of values: discretion, naturalness, simplicity. Less, but better – this became the filter through which we pass any design or purchasing decision. When you work for a child's first days, there is no "just go with it".

The turning point: how being a father changed me

I grew up in the workshop, learning patterns, densities, textures and those invisible details that make the difference in comfort. But the real change came when I became a father. From that moment on, all decisions go through a demanding filter: "Would I put this on my children's skin?"

I assumed the role of a child care specialist : to understand the real needs of the child, to choose clothes that allow free movement, shoes that support correct walking, toys and accessories that stimulate the senses, without moving away from the natural rhythm of childhood. This perspective led me every year to international fairs (such as Pitti Immagine Bimbo (Italy), Playtime Paris, Kind + Jugend (Germany) ) not to "chase trends", but to bring home safe, useful and sustainable solutions.

Materials matter: certified cotton, merino wool, linen

At AnneBebe, the quality of the material is non-negotiable . When I say "natural and premium materials" I mean certified cotton (GOTS, OEKO-TEX), fine merino wool that regulates body temperature, linen that lets the skin breathe, premium viscose or soft satin for the ceremony. We select fabrics that not only look good, but also protect the baby's delicate skin and withstand use, washing, storage.

For me, AnneBebe means everything that touches children's skin: Certified cotton – soft, breathable and friendly to sensitive skin – has clear standards (including OEKO-TEX®) and is easy to care for, withstanding repeated washings beautifully. For bright summers, we use linen and other natural fibers, with an airy texture and refined hold, perfect for ceremonies. Cotton lace is neatly cut and sewn with patience, and silk is placed where the touch must be impeccable. We apply crystals and pearls discreetly – just enough to catch the light without exaggeration – and, when we compose the dresses, premium satin brings that elegant shine that turns an important day into a memory.

We are guided by a simple principle: not everything that is "cute" is suitable for a newborn . That is why we filter every proposal and prefer a small but correct selection instead of voluminous offers with "marketing" products.

Each piece passes through the hands of the colleagues in the workshop, we check the seams, samples and finishes, so that parents can enjoy without worries. No detail is accidental: I follow every stage. This is how AnneBebe is born: clean, delicate and honest, exactly as I want my promise to children and parents to remain.

Our selection: from international fairs to AnneBebe shelves

We import directly from manufacturers in Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey and France and collaborate with super recognized brands, without "walking" the goods through improper warehouses. Thus, the authenticity and condition of the product remain impeccable, and the price is fair. I refuse to fill the shelves with products that "sell easily" but do not meet the standards of parents.

The heart of the brand – the ARTCONFEX workshop - ANNEBEBE

The AnneBebe DNA comes to life in our Romanian workshop, ARTCONFEX , where we make small batches of complete outfits , baptism candles and ceremonial robes . We use premium materials, often from the same European factories that service luxury brands. I personally check each batch to ensure our standard remains consistent.

For the baptism day, we have prepared matching and personalized rompers and complete sets that you can find at Rompers , in Boys' Baptism Sets and in the Girls' Baptism selection. In the AnneBebe stores in Unirea, Băneasa and Sun Plaza, we built exactly the place I wanted as a parent: we don't sell on the run, but we sit with each family, lay out the materials, match the sizes and combine the dress or suit with the trouser and the candle, so that everything makes sense in a single visit.

We offer our AnneBebe creations from the ARTCONFEX workshop and brands chosen directly from the source — Mayoral, Abel & Lula, Sarabanda, iDO, Guess, Us Polo Assn Baby — without "walked & dirty" stocks or compromise on quality. In the store we measure correctly, check the type of footwear appropriate for the age, recommend layers for the weather and prepare for customization where possible (name and date on personalized christening outfits).

The sale is personally assisted by colleagues, we do not have baskets, because we assume the end-to-end counseling and say "no" when a product does not really fit the need. We keep the chain short — Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, France — and correct storage conditions, so that the product reaches the child exactly as it should. My goal is simple: to leave with peace of mind, with a complete and correct set, without "extra pieces", with clear explanations for each choice.
